The Water Rokit is a fantastic piece of kit that is great fun and a really good educational tool to demonstrate the laws of motion. Used by collages, schools and individuals all over the world, this is a precision water rocket that is developed by scientists that can be used over and over again. It can be used for fun or as an experiment in scientific subjects to demonstrate the laws of motion.
It’s an easy piece of kit to assemble and is safe to use by anyone. It flies to approximately 30 metres into the air so it is a very entertaining piece of educational and recreational equipment. Learning can be fun, and this is certainly one way of demonstrating that statement. As a visual tool for learning science, it is a valuable piece of equipment for all levels of students learning science.
It is such a great piece of equipment because it uses an everyday plastic bottle that can be found literally anywhere in the world, as well as an ordinary bicycle pump. To assemble the rocket, you take a plastic bottle, whether it’s from a fizzy drink or a water bottle, fill it partly with water (only partly, otherwise your rocket won’t fly so far!) and attach it to the Rokit part. Then you attach the bicycle pump (or other pump) and start pumping to power up your rocket. When you’ve pumped it enough, your rocket will automatically launch into the air! You’ll be able to find the Rokit kit online or at education suppliers or museums.
